Q: How does your style fit in with the styles of the Valley?
A: I think it’s very different because I’m bold with what I wear. I like to play with colors and patterns. Also, with being from a more urban environment, I think that definitely adds into the different styles I see around here.

Q: Style icon?
A: Beyonce

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: I tend to not look at celebrities that much because they have stylists. So, I find my inspiration from TUMBLR accounts or Instagram accounts of people who style themselves.

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: A good pair of shoes, a versatile accessory, a good jacket or coat to piece it all together

Q: Most prominent color in your wardrobe?
A: Oddly enough, I have a lot of red.

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: H&M

Q: An item you’d love to splurge on if you had the money to do so?
A: A Chanel bag

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: When girls wear cropped tops without a high-waisted pant or short

Q: Trend you want to try?
A: I feel like I try them all!

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: The 90’s grunge look

Wearing now: Salvation Army top, mom’s pants, Macy’s shoes, Forever 21 necklace

Q: How does your style fit in with the styles of the Valley?
A: I think it’s kind of both the same and different. There is definitely kind of a niche style here, like NASCAR shirts and camo hats. And sometimes I’ll wear that just to fuck with people. But now there is so much culture in the area that I think it’s easier for people to “fit in” to what’s around here.

Q: Style icon?
A: Brandon Flowers from The Killers, David Bowie and a bat

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: Instagram, TUMBLR, magazines

Q: Your style in one word or phrase?
A: Soft goth with a twist

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: Jean jacket, sunglasses and black skinny jeans – my every day uniform

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: Lately it’s been PacSun, which is kind of weird. I found this jean jacket there after shopping for like four hours elsewhere.

Q: An item you’d love to splurge on if money weren’t a concern?
A: I would like to splurge on a good ass leather jacket.

Q: Signature scent?
A: Right now it’s Versace Dylan Blue, but I also like Mont Blanc’s Legend

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: Cargo shorts – they are the fucking worst. Another thing is leggings as pants – not to hate, like do your thing, but I can’t.

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: Cargo shorts – cargo shorts are the devil

Wearing now: PacSun jacket and shirt, Hot Topic jeans, Ray Bans, Vans

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: I like reading fashion magazines like Vanity Fair, and I always take notice of what other women are wearing around me and in ads. Then, if I like the look(s), I try it out. Also, while shopping, I pay attention to the styles the stores are showing.

Q: Your style in one word or phrase?
A; Classic and sophisticated with a little bit of flair

Q: Style icon?
A: Jackie Kennedy – I just love her classic, sophisticated feminine look.

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: Dark skinny jeans, black leggings and ankle boots (in winter). With thesethree things, I can make any of my tops work.

Q: Addicted to buying?
A: Tops and shoes – I’ve started to enjoy buying pants since I’ve lost some inches in recent months.

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: It used to be The Limited, but now I would say J. Crew, Banana Republic or Target. I really wish we had a Dillard’s in PA because that department store just rocks!

Q: An item you would love to splurge on if money weren’t a concern?
A: “Item” as in singular?! This is tough because I’d splurge on a lot if money wasn’t a concern! Ultimately, I’d have to say a Chanel black leather handbag, a David Yurman ring or an endless supply of glasses from Engle Eyewear.

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: Visible panty lines; before leaving the house, I always make sure to check that
everything is all smooth back there. I also have to go with too much denim in one outfit.

Q: Trend you want to try?
A: This fall, I’m trying out the open-toed ankle boot trend. I still don’t get why they are making open-toed shoes for fall, but I have purchased two pairs so far (one in black and one in brown). I will say that I love them and wear each quite frequently.

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: Looking back, probably everything I wore in middle school in the late 90s.

Wearing now: Antonio Melani top, J. Crew jeans, Hippie Laundry shoes, Coach watch, Mantra Bands and Kate Spade bracelets, Prada glasses

Q: How does your style fit in with the styles of the Valley?
A: My style is all over the board. Sometimes I like to be trendy and other times I like to incorporate classic pieces. It all depends on my mood or current inspirations.

Q: Style icon?
A: Kourtney Kardashian and Olivia Palermo

Q: Your style in one word or phrase?
A: Eclectic

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: I am obsessed with Pinterest! I also enjoy reading magazines like People StyleWatch and InStyle.

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: Jean jacket, a nice handbag and a well-fitting pair of jeans

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: T.J. Maxx – I definitely consider myself a Maxinista!

Q: Signature scent?
A: This definitely depends on my mood – if I want something deeper, I reach for Mon Paris by YSL. If I want something more floral and feminine, I go for Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: I don’t like when people mix too many trends together. It gets tough to look at.

Q: Trend you want to try?
A: Embellished booties – I like floral items, so transitioning them into the fall and winter seasons is something I’m interested in.

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: Low-rise jeans and crop tops

Wearing now: Gap jeans, Forever 21 sweater, Tory Burch & Coordinates Collection bracelets, Louis Vuitton bag, KBD booties

Q: How does your style fit in with the styles of the Valley?
A: I try to get most of my clothes thrifted. I didn’t really start thrifting until I came to school so I feel like a lot of what I now own is from someone else in the Valley.

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: I just started working at PacSun and a lot of my style has been influenced by working there and seeing how people pair things together. I don’t like to buy new things all the time and I try to recycle items and wear them in different ways. I like to continuously try new things until I see what works for me.

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: Boots, lipstick and a purse that matches

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: American Eagle Outfitters – no matter what I seem to find something there

Q: Addicted to buying?
A: Vans – I’ve got like 23 pairs; it’s ridiculous

Q: Item you’d love to splurge on if you had the money to do so?
A: I think Kat Von D’s Sinner and Saints perfume. You’re supposed to wear them together, so it’s like buying to bottles of perfume!

Q: Beauty essential?
A: I would say Kat Von D lipstick, all of her lipsticks are rock solid.

Q: Signature scent?
A: I always smell like Ulta’s setting spray – it’s a mix of cucumber and coconut.

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: It drives me crazy when people wear really big running sneakers with skinny jeans.

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: The cami underneath the really tight top – I wish that never happened.

Wearing now: Thrifted sweater, American Eagle Outfitters jeans, boutique boots, Michael Kors purse, Catherine Malandrino glasses
