Q: Your style in one word or phrase?
A: Modern classic – I tend to buy pieces that can stand the test of time and then mix them with selective on trend items. I don’t want to be the girl walking down the street in ripped hem jeans, platform shoes and an over-stylized ruffle shirt with floral embellishments and a cold shoulder. It’s just too much.

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: Specifically for winter – a great pain of skinny jeans, an oversized cozy turtleneck and cute ankle boots

Q: Style icon?
A: Olivia Palermo

Q: Addicted to buying?
A: Drugstore lipstick – lip crayons are my jam

Q: Beauty essentials?
A: Bare Minerals Primetime face primer and eyelid primer, concealer, foundation, and warmth bronzer (been a Bare Minerals loyalist for 10 years!). Murad skincare – their acne spot treatment is killer (because yes, even at 37, pimples still plague me) and their Retinol A cream to combat these damn wrinkles that are starting to creep up.

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: TJ Maxx, but honestly, I don’t get out to shop much. Stitch Fix and Trunk Club have been my go to for the last 6-8 months.

Q: An item you would love to splurge on if money weren’t a concern?
A: Shoes – if you invest in really good pairs, they will last! I still have four pairs of Tory Burch’s that I bought in 2007!

Q: Most prominent color in wardrobe?
A: Black. That should be obvious.

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: I can’t stand floppy, spread collar necks on men’s button downs. Also, men’s dress shirts in “bold” colors that come with a matching tie all wrapped securely in plastic. There are too many affordable, polished options to go this route.

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: Cowl necks – I’ve sworn them off

Wearing now: Talbots vest, Hanes leggings, Tommy Hilfiger booties, C Wonder (RIP) necklace, Kate Spade earrings, Apple Watch

Q: How does your style fit in with the styles of the Valley?
A: I necessarily wouldn’t say my style does/doesn’t fit in with the valley. I usually just wear what I’m feeling at the moment and what I think I will look good in. I’m pretty bold with my style and honestly  don’t care if people judge me for it or tell me I’m overdressed at times. I always believed in that if you look good, you feel good!

Q: Style icon?
A: Dwayne Johnson, especially with what he wears on the TV show Ballers

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: I never really followed anyone’s sense of style, just always made my style my own and what I fell in love with over the years.

Q: Your style in one word or phrase?
A: Casual to the max

Q: Addicted to buying?
A: I’m extremely addicted to buying dress shirts and suits. The last time I counted I was at 115 dress shirts and 15 suits.

Q: Store you can always find something in?
A: Men’s sections of Macy’s – every time I go in there I end up buying a few things.

Q: An item you would love to splurge on if money weren’t a concern?
A: Brooks Brothers designer suits

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: Men that wear untucked dress shirts when wearing dress pants – only with jeans is it appropriate

Q: Trend you want to try?
A: I always wanted to get into nice vests or pull over jackets.

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: It was never really a trend but I used to wear a onesie sporadically in high school and beginning of college before I realized I looked like an idiot.

Wearing now: American Rag peacoat, Express shirt, Izod pants, Macy’s tie, Perry Ellis shoes, Fossil watch

Q: How does your style fit in with the styles of the Valley?
A: I’m always concerned with feeling comfortable, and usually dressing in some type of layers for our ever-changing weather. I’m not super trendy, I just buy what I like and I feel good in.

Q: Style icon?
A: I love Jessica Alba. She goes from totally laid back, to completely done up and looks amazing in both.

Q: Where do you get your style or fashion knowledge from?
A: Literally everywhere. I’ve always loved 70s fashion, so I’ve been loving all of the old styles coming back. I don’t usually stick to one kind of style, I like to wear whatever I’m in the mood for that day.

Q: Top three wardrobe staples?
A: Skinny jeans, low heeled anything, earrings

Q: Addicted to buying?
A: Jeans – I have about 15 pairs but wear the same three over and over.

Q: An item you would love to splurge on if money weren’t a concern?
A: Free People anything

Q: Most prominent color in wardrobe?
A: I wear a ton of color. If I had to pick I’d say dark green.

Q: Fashion pet peeve?
A: Wrinkles – It makes something nice look super sloppy.

A: Eyelash extensions

Q: Fashion trend you wish you never followed?
A: Jean skirts – definitely not my best decision
